Pop In for Dinner

We know you can’t crash other people’s private events to taste our food. That’s why select Thursdays at 7pm we open up the roomforty tasting room for you to experience roomforty.
While foodies abound in Northeast LA, chef-driven tasting menus with boutique wine pairings are more scarce. roomforty tasting offer Eastsiders a chance to stay close to home while experiencing dishes not offered on the standard menu directly at the chef’s table.
Past selections have ranged from carrot crusted tuna with poached pair puree, grape kimchi and beet gel to pork belly confit with cauliflower gnudi, nasturtium pesto, sunchoke granola, date mascarpone and coddled egg.
“We are excited to offer Northeast Los Angeles an elevated dining experience that features memorable cuisine but also celebrates the power of a meal in bringing people together in a communal experience,” roomforty founder Steve Fortunato said. “Typically people are choosing a ‘communal dining experience’ or ‘innovative and elevated cuisine.’ We believe magic happens when both of those can be experienced at once.”
There will be one seating per date, for up to 12 people. Guests can purchase a few of the tickets and enjoy a community dining experience with other ticket holders, or purchase all of the tickets and have their own private dinner party.
Fortunato hosts guests with a menu crafted by executive chef Libry Darusman to reflect the colors of the season with wines paired to echo each of the five courses and a complimentary welcome cocktail. Tickets are $75 per person with the optional wine pairing available at an additional $20 per person and can be purchased by selecting a date below and clicking the corresponding link.
The dinners will be at our tasting room located in Northeast L.A., just a few miles north of downtown in Highland Park. We will send you an email with dinner details the a few days before your dinner. We look forward to serving you.

Please arrive at 7:00 p.m. Dinner will start promptly at 7:20 in consideration of everyone’s time and commitment. We don’t want our guests to stress about traffic, so please don’t rush. If you are running late, just give us a call at 323-254-4100. We will keep your food warm to ensure you get the full experience.
If you are unable to come for some reason, let us know 48 hours in advance and you may transfer your tickets to another person or select another date for your dinner within the calendar year, subject to availability. Because these are ticketed events with a limited number of seats, tickets are non-refundable. Tickets expire December 31, 2015 if not used.
As a courtesy to everyone at the table, we ask that guests silence their phones for the duration of the event and refrain from taking phone calls during the community meal.
Street parking is available on Figueroa and the surrounding streets.
Future Pop-Up & Winemaker Dinners

As always, we’ll set the tables in an unorthodox location, pull out the culinary stops, and celebrate great food, wine, and community. Most of you know the drill—menus and locations are not pre-disclosed—except to ticket holders the week of the event. Chef Libry has been up to some culinary alchemy, and, as always, will be creating a seasonal menu that will be a palate-pleasing experience. Seating is limited.
